WEEDS, GRASSES AND WORTHLESS VEGETATION. It shall be unlawful for the owner or any occupant of any lot or piece of ground within the zoning jurisdiction of the Village to all the growth of twelve inches (12″) or more in height of weeds, grasses or worthless vegetation and said condition shall constitute a nuisance.

MUNICIPAL PROPERTY; OVERHANGING BRANCHES: The owner or occupant of any lot, piece or parcel of ground abutting or adjacent to any street or sidewalk over which there extends branches of trees shall at all times keep the branches or limbs thereof trimmed to the height of least eight (8′) feet above the surface of said street or walk. whenever limbs or branches of any tree or trees extend over streets or sidewalks contrary to the provisions herein so as to interfere with the lighting of the street from street lights, or with the convenience of the public using said street or sidewalk, the Governing Body at any regular or special meeting may pass a resolution ordering the owner or occupant to cut or remove said obstructions with in five (5) days after having received a copy thereof from the Street Superintendent station that the municipality will remove said branches and charge the costs thereof to the owner or occupant as a special assessment for improvements as herein provided.

Meadow Grove Community Club

The Meadow Grove Community Club is a non-profit, volunteer based organization. Through donations and fund raising, our club organizes community events. Currently, we are preparing for our annual community event, Corn Days. We are very excited for this celebration, as it not only brings people from our community together, but surrounding communities as well.
